Memorial service will be 2:00pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Tarboro First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Eva Sutton; and 3 sisters, Loretta Sutton, Betty Jo Bulluck, and Marie Boyd.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Yolanda Sutton; son, Donald Ray Sutton Jr. and his wife Carol; siblings, Herbert Sutton, Ruth Bunting, and Deanie Dodd; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Donald was a paramedic and fireman for 27 years. He worked at Nash and Eastern Pines Fire and Rescue Department. He loved being a paramedic. Donald always loved and was willing to help anyone who needed it.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity of choice in his name.

I wrote EMS with Big Don Eastern Pines for many years. He was a straight shooter and taught me a lot. He didn´t take any junk off the brass or any patient. A real standup guy. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.
