Obituary
Of North Huntingdon, formerly of Swissvale, age 57, died on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
Beloved husband of Donna (Honick) Urlakis for 24 years.
Dear stepfather of A.J. (fiancé, April Galvan) Comunale of Las Vegas.
Brother of Bonnie (Gary) Willochell of Wilkins Twp., Donna (Roger Staton) Wood of NC, Sandra (Thomas Crocker) Bell of Wilmerding, William Thomas (Pat) Bell of Wilmerding and Dawna (Henry Wernecke) Urlakis of WA.
Don was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and he was a great-great-uncle of 4.
Brother-in-law of Jim (Brenda) Honick of Dravosburg, David (Jennifer) Honick of Munhall and Christine (Jeff) Harman of FL.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, C.D. and Lorraine Urlakis, and his brothers, Timothy Bell and James Urlakis.
Don was an electrician by trade and a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #5. Because of his electrician background, during the Christmas season, he loved to decorate the outside of his home with thousands of Christmas lights, following in his father's footsteps.
He also was known for the thorough remodeling that he, along with Donna, completed on their home, including the building of a 4-car garage. Although he was an electrician, he also enjoyed working on cars.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Funeral Service will be held at 7pm.
