Donald Walker Obituary
Donald was born on November 7, 1965, in Andalusia, Alabama. A proud graduate of Straughn High School, Class of 1983, he went on to dedicate 30 years of hard work and commitment as a laborer with Carter Contracting. Donald was known for his strong work ethic and steady dedication throughout his career.
He had a deep love for music. His favorite song was Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The lyrics spoke to him, and those who knew him well can almost hear that guitar playing now as they remember him. Today, we take comfort in knowing that he is now free like a bird.
He is survived by his loving sister, Barbara Foster; his brothers, Jimmy Walker (Nanette) and Dennis Walker; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Mary Walker; and his sisters, Margie Ruth Walker and Glenda Ross.
Donald was laid to rest at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery on February 5, 2026.
He will be remembered by his family and friends for his life, his dedication to those he loved, and the many memories shared over the years
