Donald G. Wall, age 90, of Shelton, peacefully entered into rest on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Lindsay) Wall. Donald was born in Bridgeport on February 18, 1931, son of the late Hazel (Gordon) Sander, and lived in Shelton for 23 years. He served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Donald graduated from Florida Southern College with a degree in Baseball Administration and went on to manage baseball farm teams. He was a jack of all trades in his work life. An avid fan of the NY Mets and NY Giants, Donald always possessed a fantastic sense of humor. He is the beloved father of Gordon Wall, Tara Franco and her husband Robin, and Brian Wall and his wife Diane. He also leaves five cherished grandchildren, Lindsay Collins (Andrew), Kimberly Hartzler (Jordan), Brendon Wall, Ryan Franco, and Conor Wall, five great-grandchildren, Molly and Patrick Collins and Josiah, Emmett, and Judah Hartzler, and his sister, Arlene Sander. Special thanks to Constellation Hospice and Donald's caregiver John Tilson for their care and comfort. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements, which are private.
