Funeral services for Donald Eugene Ward, 66, will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Nathan Luellen and Brother Alex Glenn.

Donald was born on January 23, 1958, to Bill and Lillie Ward in St. Louis, Missouri, and passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Donald was a dedicated individual who spent many years in agriculture and as an industrial mechanic. He was known for his hard work, passion for his career, and unwavering commitment to his family and friends.

In the earlier years of his life, Donald found joy in hunting and fishing. However, as time went by, he discovered that his true joy stemmed from the simple moments spent with loved ones. One of Donald’s proudest accomplishments was his marriage to Millissa Sutton Ward. Their love was a shining example of dedication and support, serving as a source of strength for each other through life’s joys and challenges. Donald leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lillie Ward; son, Michael Ward; brother-in-law, Kerry Glenn; brothers, Steve and Johnny Ward, and many special friends and loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife, Millissa Ward; sons, Matthew, Jason, and Mark (Bud) Ward; daughters, Mia Ward, and Dena Ward; sisters, Marilyn Gray and Teresa Glenn; brothers, Billy and Tim Ward and a host of treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Honoring Donald as pallbearers will be Matthew Ward, Jason Ward, Mark Ward, Andrew Glenn, Caden Ward, and Justin Hutchens. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Hutchens.
