Donald McQueen "Don" White III

Donald McQueen White III, 80, passed away peacefully at home in Chanhassen, Mn. on Friday, June 7th, 2024. Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Don was married to the love of his life, Joyce, for fifty years. Survivors include Joyce, sons Andrew and Philip (Katie), grandchildren Alex, Nylah and Oliver, sister Jane Hassell (John), brothers-in-laws-Jack (Judy), Dean and Brad (Diane) Bickford, Randy Busch, sisters-in-law Evelyn Current, Darlene Bickford and many nieces and nephews. The son of Donald McQueen White, Jr. and Francis Lynch White, Don graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, served in the US Army (Vietnam) and was a 31year employee of Minneapolis-based Toro as an engineer. He loved spending time with family, listening to classical music in the home studio he designed and built, sailing on Lake Minnetonka, tinkering with sports cars, bicycling and reading. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Excelsior, with visitation at 10 a.m., and a reception following.
