Donald Eugene Willard, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away on February 10, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 92. Born on July 21, 1933, in St. Croix, Wisconsin, Donald lived an extraordinary life marked by service, love, and unwavering commitment to his family.

With a career dedicated to Aircraft and Missile Maintenance, Donald proudly served in the Air Force for 22 years, a testament to his strong moral character and his deep-seated pride in serving his country. His experience as a veteran not only shaped his life but also instilled in him values that resonated through his interactions with others. Throughout his life, he held the best morals and was driven by a sense of duty and honor.

As a husband and father, Donald was exemplary. He was known as a loving father to his children, Ken "Marika" Willard, Colleen Schwarz, and Peggy "Mark" Boddy. He took great joy in being there for his children, instilling in them the same virtues that had guided him throughout his life. Those who knew Donald would often remark on his great sense of humor and ability to fix anything, be it a broken toy for a child or the family car. He was always there with a smile and a helping hand, making everyone feel cherished and important.

Donald's hobbies were varied and reflective of his creative spirit. He found joy in playing cribbage and making music on his guitar and organ, filling the home with beautiful melodies that lingered long after the notes faded. Riding his bike and Harley motorcycle brought him freedom and exhilaration, while woodworking allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship. One of his most beloved pastimes was making family videos, capturing precious memories for his loved ones to enjoy and cherish.

He will be remembered fondly by his loving grandchildren, including Carla Schwarz, Rachel Blackman, Lisa Filler, Nicole Davis, Valarie Boddy, and Don Dunlap, all of whom were fortunate enough to share moments with him and witness the warmth of his spirit.

Donald was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Donna Willard, and his children Joanne "Rod" Soom, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. He is survived by his children and the legacy of love and compassion that he instilled in them. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Elmira and Sylvester Willard, as well as his stepdad, Roy Jaeger, who contributed to the shaping of the remarkable man we remember today.

Donald Eugene Willard's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He embodied love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to family and country, qualities that will be honored and cherished by those left behind. His laughter, integrity, and the memories created will forever be engraved in the fabric of our lives.
