Donald Lee Woodard, age 85, went home to the Lord on February 2, 2025. Donald was born September 21, 1939 to the late EL Woodard and Mary Carver. He graduated from Hendersonville High School. Don worked as a head meat department manager eventually retiring from Kroger after 50 years.
His wife Nancy L Woodard, daughter Rhonda and son-in-law Tim were the joy of his life along with his grandchildren, Chris, Chase, and Beth. He had so many friends and belonged to Hendersonville #359 of Hendersonville, Tennessee Free and Accepted Mason for 50 years. He belonged to Eastern Star, Past Grand Patron, 1988 and 50 years of service.
Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nancy L. Woodard; daughter, Rhonda Greenhalgh (Tim); grandchildren, Chris (Emily), Chase (Brooklynn), Beth (Landon); great-grandchildren, Clarke, Penelope, and Cynthia.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with Masonic and Eastern Star services beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Service immediately following at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home. Private entombment to follow.
Tim Greenhalgh, Justin Mercer, Shane Williams, David Wilhoite, Landon Presley, and Chris Greenhalgh will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
