JONESBORO - Don Workman passed away at Flo & Phill Jones Hospice House on Feb. 17, 2026. He was 80 years old. He was born Nov. 11, 1945, in Jonesboro, to Ruby Hampton and Donovan Workman. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He married Deloris Jean Cole of Otwell, Ark. And they spent 56 years together. He loved his wife and only son very much. He was a hard worker and even worked harder at taking care of his family. He retired from Arkansas Glass in 2006. His hobbies were gardening, he loved to fish, and he loved his many pets.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Hampton; his father, Donovan Workman; and his stepfather, George Dobbs. He is survived by his wife, Deloris Workman; and son Donnie Workman (Angie) of Jonesboro; grandson, Brian Jobe of Omaha, Neb; four sisters, Ruth Curtis of Jonesboro, Georgie Gray and Rosa Thurman of Trumann, and Kathy Adams of Biggers; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. on Feb. 20, with service following at 10 a.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. Resting place at Pine Log Cemetery.
