Donivan Ortgies Obituary
Don served in the US Air Force for 37 years, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He retired in 1992 from Headquarters Air Force Military Personnel Center, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.
The intervening years were a rewarding journey of memorable moves, family growth, and travel opportunities in the course of Don's military career.
Don is survived by his loving family: his wife Sandra, son Ross (Junko), daughter Karen Pierce (Chuck), four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Delvin (Arlene), sisters Karen Spengler and Ardith Morgan, and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held Friday, August 16th at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Freeland, WA, with Pastor Jim Lindus officiating.
