Donna L Brinkworth

Donna Lynn (Donahue) Brinkworth, 63, of New Albany, IN, passed away in the early hours of Monday, August 25th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 23rd, 1962 in New Albany, IN to the late Clarence "Bud" Donahue and Bonnie (Burkhart) Donahue. She worked as a reimbursement analyst at the University of Louisville Hospital for 38 years; but her proudest roles were wife, mom, and her most recent promotion to Yaya.

Donna was known for her infectious laugh, quick wit and sass, kindness, selflessness, and love for her family, friends (especially her gal pals), and her beloved Juno. Friends and family will remember her for her adventurous spirit, love for hiking, horror movies, and dark humor.

Left to cherish her memory: love of her life, apple of her eye, and husband of 38 years, Tom Brinkworth; son, Chad Brinkworth (Bailey); daughters, Becky Brinkworth, and Beth Goodwin (Adam); grandchildren, Bonnie June and Emmett Duncan Goodwin; brothers, Mike Donahue and Paul Donahue (Lynn); sister, Dottie Johnson (Billy); several nieces and nephews, and countless friends and family that are heartbroken to lose her.

Visitation will be held at the Market Street Chapel of the Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market Street, New Albany, IN) on Friday, August 29th, from 12 PM – 8 PM, and on Saturday, August 30th, from 9 AM – 11 AM. Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM and will be lovingly officiated by her brother, Pastor Mike Donahue. Celebration of life to follow at the Knights of Columbus in New Albany, IN.

At the request of the family and with appreciation, in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations in Donna's memory to the National Parks Service.
