Donna M. Cacciato

Donna Marie Cacciato, 77, of Brookfield, CT passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 surrounded by her family. Donna was born on August 24, 1948 in White Plains, NY to Domenick and Ida Tascio. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Guy Cacciato, her son, Chris Cacciato (Rachel), daughter, Melanie Awerdick (Marc), brother Robert Tascio (Janet), nephew, Jeffrey Tascio, granddaughters Madison Tyrrell (Jason), Lilah and Sydney Cacciato. Donna graduated from White Plains High School in 1966. Donna and Guy married in September of 1968, shortly after Guy returned from his service in the United States Marine Corps. They welcomed their son, Christopher, in 1971, and their daughter, Melanie in 1976. The family remained in New York until their relocation to Brookfield, CT in 1988. Donna worked as a paraprofessional in Brookfield Public Schools for over 20 years where she made lifelong friends.

Donna's legacy is one of deep love for her family. Some of her most cherished times were spent during her annual family vacations in Falmouth, MA and Narragansett RI. She enjoyed spending her days on the beach and dancing in the kitchen in the evening with her granddaughters. Donna also loved spending the holidays with her family and relished in spoiling her granddaughters with numerous gifts.

Calling hours will be held at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday, March 19, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Services are being held for Donna on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 92 S Lexington Ave, White Plains, NY, followed by interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Donna's memory, a cause that was close to her heart.
