Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services of White PlainsJonathan J. Kaplan, age 73, of White Plains, NY, passed away Saturday, February 14 from heart disease and Leukemia. He was born February 4, 1953, to Florence and Nathan Kaplan. Jonathan graduated from White Plains High School and attended Boston University and graduated from Pace University. He was a screenwriter and published writer. Jonathan founded and directed the Westchester Film Workshop. His hobbies included music, magic, photography and comics. He is survived by his brother Alan L. Kaplan of Ardsley, N.Y. ( and Terri Kaplan, deceased), and his sister Jill A. Kaplan and brother-in-law, Myron L. Kaplan, both of NYC.
A graveside funeral will be held Sunday, March 8 at 1pm at Sharon Gardens-Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY 10595.
