Donna Carney, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the age of 63. Born on September 19, 1961, in Syracuse, NY. Donna spent her early years in Oswego County before settling in the Syracuse area, where she lived in North Syracuse, Clay and Cicero.
Donna built a career in insurance, banking, and sales, where her dedication and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on those she worked with. Beyond her professional life, Donna was a kind and caring person who found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
As a devoted single parent, Donna poured her love and energy into raising her son, Jason. She cherished her time with family and friends and found comfort in her beautifully curated collections, especially her vintage pottery. Donna enjoyed quiet evenings at home, playing her favorite games, and creating warm memories with those she loved.
Donna is survived by her son, Jason Carney, and his wife, Hana Kim; her siblings, William (Karyn) Kuhn, Carol (Dennis) Bishop, Robert (Criss) Kuhn, and Mary (Robbie) Hambright; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Phama Kuhn, her sister, Joanne (John) Christman, and her mother-in-law, Sheila (Ralph) Degiralamo.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 705 N Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
