Donna Compeau Obituary
On December 11, 1954 Donna married the love of her life Raymond Compeau at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish. They raised a family together and remained in love until Ray preceded her in death in Jan. 2020. There were many things that Donna enjoyed throughout her life but nothing that brought her greater joy than spending time with her family and snowmobiling. She was not only a lifetime member of the Alpena Snowdrifter's Club she was one of the founders. Donna worked for the U.S. Government in the Department of Agriculture for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by her four children, Kathy (Chuck) Sobczak of Ossineke, MI., Karen (Matt) McGrath of Ventura, CA., Kenneth (Desiree) Compeau of Ossineke, and Ronald (Laycie Bushey) of Alpena, seven grandchildren, Courtney (Scott) Gagnon, Collin McGrath, Cailin McGrath, Gary (Mollie James-Allen) Compeau, Greg (Kailey O'Brien) Compeau, and Rachelle (Thomas) Sherer, a grandson in law William Hann, thirteen great grandchildren, Max and Marleigh Hann, Landen and Dillan Gagnon, Emma, Wyatt, and Nolan Compeau, Conner, Hannah, and Hunter Allen, Lincoln Sherer, William and Katie Bushey, two sisters, June (Jerry) Mills, Lois Skiba, a brother, sister in law Sally LeTourneau, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ray, brothers, Jerry LeTourneau, and Jim LeTourneau, brother-in-law, Albert Skiba, and a granddaughter, Ashley Hann.
Memorial Mass will take place in the summer of 2023 and be announced in a future edition of The News. Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to McLaren Home Health Pallative and Hospice Care. Online condolences may be registered at www.karpushuntercares.com
