Our Beloved Mother

Donna Fuller was called home to Jesus on March 12, 2026.

Donna Lea (Cornelison) Fuller, the oldest of five children, was born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1939 to Lois and Lee Cornelison. At the age of five, her family moved to Omaha, NE and she attended school in Benson, NE.

When she graduated from high school, she met the love of her life on a blind date. She married Gordon Fuller in June of 1959 and had four children: Darla, Rodney, Shawn and Gregg.

While diligently raising her four children, she helped initiate Meals on Wheels in five small towns in western NE. She also worked at a REA Company in Lexington, NE, was a bookkeeper for Fox Photo in San Antonio, TX, worked at the Red Cross in Bozeman, MT, started the hot lunch program at Monforton School, where she also drove the bus for 49 years. This was, by far, her favorite job as she loved the children on her bus and the route she drove through the beautiful Gallatin Valley. She was a master at driving and maintaining the buses she drove and took a great deal of pride in doing so. One of her greatest honors was to earn the award of Bus Driver of the Year for the state of Montana in 2014.

Donna was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for many years, where she was president of her chapter five times and was also a member of City Council where she was president two times.

Donna would tell you that her greatest achievements which brought her the most joy were being a mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother. She enjoyed outdoor activities like: motorcycling, camping, boating, fishing, snow skiing, waterskiing and any activity that encouraged family time. She also loved to travel to visit family whenever she could. One of her favorite pastimes was writing letters to friends and family in the wee hours of the morning. Snail mail was her love-language!

Donna set a great example of being a matriarch. She loved deeply, was a hard worker, loved to spend time with family, was a prayer warrior, and had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She will always be remembered as a fierce protector who loved her tribe of people.

She is survived by her four children, Darla Martin (Daron), Rod (Roberta), Shawn (Michelle) and Gregg Fuller; her grandchildren, Kila Emenegger (Alex), Carson Fuller (Bri), Darje' Bennett (David), Darius (Alexa) and D'Aron Martin, Mason, Gavin, Lauren and Tennessen Fuller; her great grandchildren, Hazellynn Martin, Dayton, Dakota, Danika Bennett; and her siblings, Carla Currier, Terry Cornelison and Trenda Muzich.

Heaven received a great woman as we lost a respected and loving member of our family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, April 25th (which would have been Donna's 87th birthday), at Grace Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, she wishes that her friends and loved ones would consider donating to Love, INC Gallatin County (loveincgc.org) and the Gideons International (gideons.org).
