Donna Guillote, has passed away at the age of 70 in Flower Mound, Texas. She was born on November 23, 1953, in Virginia, to her loving parents, William Burton Patrick and Betty (Dawson) Patrick. Donna's early years were shaped by her passion for education and her unwavering dedication to students.
She was a dedicated Special Education Teacher who touched many lives. Throughout her career, Donna touched the lives of many students with her compassionate and nurturing spirit. She believed in the power of education to transform lives and was known for going above and beyond so that each child received the support they needed to thrive. Her legacy as an educator will forever be remembered by those whose lives she impacted.
Outside of her profession, Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished moments spent with her family, especially attending all of her kid’s and grandkid’s activities, from dance recitals to football games, choir shows to plays. These precious memories will be treasured by her loved ones for years to come.
Donna had a zest for life and a sense of adventure that led her to explore the world around her. She found solace in cruising, with Alaska being her favorite destination. Traveling, crafting and reading mystery novels were among her favorite pastimes. Her diverse interests reflected her vibrant personality.
In her passing, Donna leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance. She is survived by her son, Brent Bertolio, and his wife Jessica of Flower Mound, Texas, as well as her son-in-law, Petty Officer Stephen Grant, USCG. Her grandchildren, Jonah, Katelyn, Noah, Brodie, and Joshua Bertolio brought immense joy to her life. Additionally, Donna is survived by her siblings, Ray Patrick, Dan Patrick, and Paige Hebert.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Guillote; her daughter, Keeley Grant, and her parents, William and Betty Patrick. As family and friends gather to bid her farewell, let us remember Donna Guillote as a beacon of light, a dedicated teacher, a loving mother and grandmother, and a dear friend to many.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. A Celebration of Donna's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2024, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
