Donna Lavern Harp, age 80, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Brighton, Michigan.

Donna was born on March 24, 1945, in Frostburg, Maryland, to Paul and Amy (Lohr) Steele. She brought joy and warmth wherever she went, known for her vibrant personality, infectious smile, and love of being surrounded by people. Donna also had a passion for decorating and fashion-always an impeccable dresser with an eye for beauty and detail. Most of all, Donna was known for her deep love for her bulldogs.

She cherished the many memories she made camping and traveling across the country in the motorhome she shared with her beloved husband, Gerold "Jerry" Harp, whom she married on July 31, 1993, in Grosse Ile, Michigan. Donna pursued her creative interests throughout life, including taking a flower arranging class at Schoolcraft College, a hobby that perfectly matched her artistic spirit.

Donna is survived by her sister, Carol Steele; her stepchildren, Raymin E. (Janice) Harp and Pamela L. (Robert) Bolam; and her grandchildren, Amanda L. (Michael) Markley, Traci (Ezhil) Nambi, and Amelia (Nick) Koveleski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Harp; her grandson, Andrew Bolam; and her parents, Paul and Amy Steele.

A visitation for Donna will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave, Howell. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM.

Donna will be remembered for her warmth, zest for life, and the love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial contributions in Donna's honor may be made to Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Rd, Ann Arbor.
