Full Name: Donna L. Heller
Date of Death: Wednesday, May 14, 2025
Donna Leslie Heller, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 79. Born August 3, 1945, Donna lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, cherishing her family, her passions, and her work.
Donna dedicated her professional life to medicine, supervising the neonatal laboratory at Albert Einstein Hospital in the Bronx for many years and performing medical research in the area of liver disease. Her commitment and expertise made a significant impact on countless newborns and their families.
Beyond her professional achievements, Donna embraced life with enthusiasm. She had a deep love of travel, exploring new places and cultures. Animals held a special place in her heart, bringing her much joy in life and culminating in veterinary studies.
Above all, Donna treasured time spent with her family. Whether it was a holiday gathering, a casual get-together, or simply a phone call, she cherished each moment. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of shopping, dining out, and had a fondness for sports cars, notably corvettes where she was a club member.
Donna was a devoted wife to her husband, James Heller. She was a loving mother to her two sons, Brian and Keith, and a cherished mother-in-law to Christine and Joelle. Her joy was amplified by her two grandchildren, Evan and Alaia, whom she adored and loved to spend time with whenever possible. She took numerous ocean cruises with her beloved Evan.
Donna is also survived by her sisters, Barbara and Michelle, and her brother Spencer.
A funeral service to celebrate Donna's life will be held on May 16, 2025, at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah in the Cedar Park/Beth El Cemetery in Paramus.
Donna's warmth, her dedication to her family & friends, and her zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
