Donna Lee Henry was born on August 8, 1945, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa, to Alvin "Mike" and Marie (Mullin) Alden. Donna was one of four children. She graduated from High School in 1963 and then attended cosmetology school, where she worked as a hairdresser for several years. On September 11, 1965, she married Noel Henry at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Decorah, and they had five children. They later divorced.

Later on in life, she attended Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) and earned her Registered Nurse (RN) license, after which she worked in senior care for the remainder of her career. Donna found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life; she loved listening to music and enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the campfire with friends and family. She was a devoted cook, creating delicious meals that brought family and friends together. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Donna also loved to shop, travel with friends, tend to her garden, and collect elephants. She had a special appreciation for nature and animals. Her knack for card games and board games made her the heart of every family gathering. Beyond her personal passions, Donna was deeply dedicated to her work, finding great fulfillment in caring for others. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment left a lasting impact on all those she served.

Donna's survivors include her two sons: Darin (Barbi) Henry of Alton, IL, and Scott (Sue) Henry of Dodge Center, MN; and two daughters: Kathy (Ron) Seitz of West Union, IA, and Kristine (David) Krivachek of West Union, IA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Robbie, Heather, Bryce, and Kaitlin Teff; Kendra Henry and Keonna (Joseph) Leura; and Kiley and Kasey Krivachek. She had 13 great-grandchildren. Donna is also survived by her two sisters: Charlene Manwaring of Mason City, IA, and Linda Alden of Fort Madison, IA; and one brother, Mike (Penny) Alden of Manley, IA, along with several nieces and nephews.

Donna was a devoted animal lover and had many pets throughout her lifetime. She leaves behind her four cats: Eddie, Freddie, Charlie, and Kitty White Paws, who will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Marie Alden, and her son, Kevin Henry, on May 14, 1997.
