In loving memory of Donna E. Ivey, a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Donna passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. Born on September 7, 1930 in Canon City, CO. She moved to Denver in 1952, then to Broomfield in 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Daniel Fred Ivey, her son, Steven Ivey, her parents Michael & Cornelia Brummer, and her sisters Alice Allen & Dorothy Bauchat.
She graduated from Canon City High School in 1948 and attended the University of Colorado. She retired from Denver Public Schools in 1991. She loved spending time at home and with family and enjoyed crafts and sewing. After retiring she also enjoyed volunteering in the Broomfield area. After retirement, she especially enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in their small motor home and creating memories on camping trips with family and friends.
Survivors include 2 children, Connie Ivey-Pasche of Seattle and Linda Balogh (Frank) of Arvada, three grandchildren, Kelley Zick (Kyle), Kyle Balogh (Danielle), and Tyler Balogh of Arvada. She also has 5 great grandkids, Reagan Balogh, Bre’ella Zick, Owen Balogh, Jaxson Zick, and Dawson Zick. She has one brother, Michael Brummer of Pueblo. Donna was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
