Donna Marie Langston

Donna Marie Langston was born on June 7, 1956 to the late Frank J. Langston and Barbara Langston Mack. She entered into eternal rest on October 26, 2025 at Bridgeport Hospital Yale New Haven Health. Donna was a resident of Stratford and Bridgeport for over 60 years. She attended Stratford Public School System. She volunteered at the Boys and Girls Clubs and was then employed by the Stratford Board of Education and afternoon programs. Donna then became an In-Home Healthcare Provider, which included taking care of her mom.
Donna loved the Lord and had a deep, personal relationship with Him. She attend First Baptist Church alongside her siblings. Where her faith was rooted and grew strong. Donna strongly believed in the power of prayer, she always believed that all things are possible through the power of God and she stood on his promises.
To know Donna was to love her humble, beautiful soul. She was a loving and caring strong warrior who was always ready to help anyone in need. With open arms, she welcomed others and treated them as her own. Donna found great joy in cooking and baking for her family - a gift she inherited from her beloved mother, whom she admired deeply. She also enjoyed shopping, and cherished the shopping trips with her mother, her sister Cynthia, her niece Nikki and her girl Dora Mae.
Her radiant smile could light up any room. Donna loved to dance - especially in her cheetah print and red lipstick - two stepping to R. Kelly's music, then singing her heart out to Mary J. Blige. And let's not forget, her signature lipstick mark on the cheek at every hello.
Donna and the love of her life, Clyde Hargrove Jr. Over the 58 years of love they were blessed with three children: Andre Hargrove, Kiri Langston (Quanda), and Katona Langston, as well as a devoted godson, Tremayne Garrett. She was a proud grandmother to Tahaj Teele, My'Asia Hargrove, Moni Parks, Amari Langston, and Nathaniel Thompson, and a loving great-grandmother to Kayden Kennedy, Kaseem McCrae, and Daleiya Davidson.
Donna was predeceased by her beloved parents, Frank J. Langston and Barbara Langston Mack (Leroy); her brother, Wayne "Pee Wee" Langston; her grandson, Kyree "Bucket" Kennedy and her nephew Jhavare Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings: Frank C Langston of Hamden, CT; Cynthia L Nesmith (Bernard) of Bridgeport, CT; Pamela Langston of Bridgeport, CT; Troy Mack (Georgia) of Stratford, CT; Tory Mack of Stratford, CT; Gregory Hughes of West Haven, CT; Calvin Hughes of Raleigh, NC; Damita Womack of South Boston, VA; Bruce Hughes of Bridgeport, CT; Kelley Buchanan (Robert) of SC, sisters in law Priscilla Gerald and Jennifer Hargrove, brothers in law James Hargrove(Dawn) and Ronald Rogers all of Stratford, CT; She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts Madeline Broadwater (Frank), Rebecca Helms, Genevieve Helms and Viola Hargrove. And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family - including the cherished Garrett family, Brenda Burton and Darlene Ball. All of whom will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
