Julius J. Stanley, 48, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1977, to Roderick Stanley and Brenda Manns.
A proud product of the Bridgeport public school system, Julius built a career he was passionate about. He worked for many years at Bridgeport Hospital, where his warm spirit endeared him to colleagues and patients alike. Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and love of the open road, Julius earned his CDL license from NETTTS and pursued his dream of driving 18-wheelers cross country. He took immense pride in operating big rigs, making deliveries, coming off the long haul and working for his uncle's company for a period of time, a testament to his strong belief in family business.
Family was the center of Julius's world. He cherished holidays spent with loved ones and he especially loved his aunt's candied yams, which he looked forward to. In his leisure time, Julius enjoyed target shooting at the gun range, where his skill was evident, listening to music, watching the Cooking Channel and Law & Order, and cheering passionately for his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and the Duke Blue Devils.
On December 16, 2018, Julius was baptized at the Church of Christ in Bridgeport, receiving salvation through his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His faith in God's power remained steadfast throughout his life.
Julius leaves behind a legacy of genuine kindness, compassion, and love. He is survived by his two daughters, Sha'Nyia Stanley and Shalay'Ja Stanley; his devoted parents, Roderick Stanley and Brenda Manns; his brother Raymond Stanley, who provided special care during his illness; his two beautiful grandchildren, Jo'Elle Shannon and Yahmir Shannon; his niece Aleiyah Stanley; a devoted uncle and aunt, Minister Ellis Stanley, Sr. and Donna Stanley; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever cherish his memory.
