Mrs. Donna Agnes Hudson McCoy, age 66 of Warthen, passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 30, 2025. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of May and Smith Funeral Home, with Reverend Dr. Tom Akins officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCoy was born in Swainsboro, the daughter of the late James Brenson Hudson and the late Sallie Ruth Jones Parker. She was a 1977 graduate of Washington County High School. Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker, and a caregiver. She was very creative and artistic, and she loved to build, craft, write poetry, sing, and she was an awesome cook. Mrs. McCoy also enjoyed fishing, and was very protective of her tools. She had a big heart and was always trying to help others. Above all else she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Edison McCoy; twin daughters, Stephanie and Daphanie; and son Jared McCoy.
Mrs. McCoy is survived by her stepfather, Ira Lee “Duck” Parker of Warthen; stepson, Jammy McCoy (Shalena) of Sandersville; grandchildren, Ridge McCoy (Madison), Emalee McCoy, and Bailee McCoy; sisters, Deborah Robinson (Mike) of Davisboro and Leslie Hudson (Mark) of Warthen; close cousin, Bobby “Buddy” Parker, Jr. of Warthen; and devoted friend, Liz Crawford of Warthen.
