Donna Marie (Moote) Schwallier, age 99 of Marne, Michigan, entered eternal life Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 71 years Frederick in 2018, brother Ralph Moote in 2019, sister Dolores Aseltyne and brother Richard Moote in 2023 and sister Virginia Lemay in 2025.
Donna is survived by her nine children; Carol Ferris, David (Janet) Schwallier, Philip (Judy) Schwallier, Mark (Kay) Schwallier, Joan (Bill) Dean, Brian (Lori) Schwallier, Janet (Kerry) Cross, Joseph (Terri) Schwallier and Lisa (Tim) Rosel; 28 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; her dear sister, Jean (Steve) Lizak; sister-in-law, Mary Moote; brother-in-law, Joseph Lemay and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be remembered for her keen interest in the genealogy of the Schwallier and Moote families, gardening, vegetable canning, baking goodies for her family and her endearing fondness for her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Donna would always ask when you were leaving, what she could send you home with in the way of baked goods and other goodies.
Donna was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marne. In keeping with her wish cremation has taken place.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Oct 28, 2025, Tuesday, 11:00 A.M. at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Marne with Fr. Michael Hodges celebrant with graveside interment in St Mary’s Cemetery following the Mass.
Relatives and friends may meet the family Oct. 28 2025, Tuesday, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. one hour prior to the Mass at St Mary’s Church in Marne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to; Autism Support of Kent County, Attention: Jacks Voice, P.O. Box 15348, Grand Rapids, MI. 49515.
