Donna Morey

I knew Donna when she was president of the Arkansas Education Association. As many of you said she was a very kind and accepting human being of everyone. When she would speak, she would always think about how an issue would affect the organization as a whole. Yes, she had her own sense of humor she would include in her statements that helped make people listen. She was a wonderful lady and always share things about Special Olympics. She will be missed

You will be missed Donna. You cared so much for ALL regardless of barriers that others may have held. Thank you for seeing and feeling beyond.

I had the pleasure of meeting Donna on the ARTA tour bus trip to Savannah in September of 2024. Donna kept all the bus passengers on schedule and organized. She was always helpful, kind and added her special kind of humor on our trip. May she rest well in God's presence. Condolences to her family and friends.

Donna was an exceptional person and her impact in education was felt across the state. She will be honored and missed by a multitude of people whose life´s she has touched.

Donna was a true servant leader in all that she did. She was kind, joyous, and caring. I met Donna through the Arkansas Education Association many years ago. I maintained contact through ARTA. She was a friend to many of us and beloved. She will be missed but wi . live on through our precious memories

Donna was a very special person in so many ways. She will be greatly missed. She had such a calm, gentle, and generous heart. The students and teachers in Arkansas education have been blessed by her love, compassion, and involvement. My condolences to her special friends and family.

Donna was highly respected and loved by the Retired Teachers. She did so much for us; she was passionate about her job and when she entered a meeting, we knew she had good news to share with us as retirees. We miss her already. My prayers are with her family. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Donna will be missed greatly. She was a pillar of knowledge about Arkansas Teacher Retirement and a tireless mentor to ones who needed guidance in carrying out the events of ARTA. Donna, you will be missed.

Donna was such a fantastic leader for the members of Arkansas Retired Teachers Association. She was an advocate for all of the retired teachers, the current teachers, and all of the students of the state of Arkansas. My heart is broken. I will miss her smile and her encouragement.

My deepest condolences on the passing of Donna. I had the privilege of working closely with her at the Arkansas Education Association and saw firsthand her dedication and leadership through the implementation of TESS and the creation of the Ethics Board. Donna gave so generously of her time-volunteering in the community, schools, church, and with AARP-and her philanthropic work with Special Olympics spoke volumes about her compassion and commitment to others. She leaves behind a legacy of service that will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with her family and all who were fortunate to know her.

Working with Donna as an ARTA member was a great blessing.

Donna Morey was always positive when I was around her. We worked together at JA Fair, and she truly loved those kids. She made all of their lives better through movement and motivation. I remember fondly her singing, "When the moon hits your eye like big pizza pie, that´s a MOREY!!!"

Donna was very special to so many people. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to know her, work with her, coach with her, teach with her, but most importantly to count her as my good friend. Everyone who knew her was touched in a positive way and she will be greatly missed by so many. I will miss you my dear friend and I will see you again some day.

Donna served a Godly life. I was privileged to be a recipient of her love for education. She was a mentor to me during my work as a graduate student. I learned so much. Again several years later I was fortunate enough to work with her as a peer. Again learning much. She became a true friend during this time and remained so until her passing. Donna will be greatly missed.

I was very fortunate to work with Donna at J. A. Fair. I was blessed to see compassion, encouragement and support of her students. I loved being her friend and hearing about the many services she did for many organizations and seeing her faith in God.
