Donna Sue Neese

Donna Sue Neese - age 86, lifelong resident of Jamesport, MO, passed away Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Manor Care in Pleasant Valley, Missouri. Donna was born on July 25, 1939, in Jamesport, the daughter of Andrew and Nellie (Walker) Neese. She graduated from Jamesport High School and spent much of her life helping her brother, Mavis, on the family farm. Donna was a hardworking, gentle, and meek soul. Timid by nature, yet deeply caring. She had a special love for children and animals, often taking in strays who needed a safe place. Her quiet compassion and steadfast faith in Christ guided her life and touched those around her. Donna will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mavis Neese, Melvin Neese, Marion Neese, and Allen Hunt; niece, Elizabeth Ann Hunt; great-nephew, Cingen James Hunt and nephew Todd Hunt. She is survived by her sister, Violet Hunt of Trenton, MO; her nephews, Shawn Hunt of Jamesport, MO, James Hunt (Cindy) of Shawnee Mission, KS; great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shelburne Baptist Church or Cemetery in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Donna's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Jamesport. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends may call after 9 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Shelburne Cemetery.
