Donna Norsworthy Obituary

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Donna Sue Norsworthy, 84, passed away peacefully on Dec. 30, 2025, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Donna was born on Aug. 8, 1941, in Sikeston, Mo., to Whit and Midge Wilson. As the daughter of an Air Force family, she spent much of her early life moving and experiencing the world, including graduating from high school in Japan, an experience that shaped her independence and global perspective.

Driven by a lifelong calling to care for others, Donna pursued a career in nursing. She attended nursing school and went on to earn both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Her dedication to education and service reflected her deep compassion, strength, and commitment to excellence.

Donna was the devoted wife of an Air Force pilot. Together they moved among many military bases around the United States and Europe. In the late 1980s, they settled between Phoenix, Ariz., and Greers Ferry Lake, Ark., two places they came to love deeply and considered home. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and dedicated mother, never missing a sporting event that her children were involved in.

Above all else, Donna cherished her family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Morris "Sonny" Norsworthy.

She was the proud mother of five children, Dee Grantham (Scott), Blake Norsworthy (Anna), Shawn Norsworthy (Susan), Whitney Erickson, and Lee Norsworthy. Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of joy and pride in her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Jayme Morgan and Lynn Yarbrough of Jonesboro.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Whit and Midge Wilson, and by her sister, Jeanne Moore.

Donna will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, intelligence, and unwavering love for her family. Her life of service, adventure, and devotion leaves an enduring imprint on all who knew and loved her.
