Donna Lee Oliver of Blacksburg passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at home with her family around her. She was born July 31, 1944, to the late L.H. (Red) and Ivree Hilton Harris. She was married to the love of her life, Freddie Lee Oliver, for 49 years. Donna worked at VT for many years as a secretary and later served as secretary at Lutheran Memorial Church in Blacksburg. Donna was a lifelong member of St. Michael Lutheran Church and served on many groups. Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie; her parents; her brother, Bill Townsend; brother-in-law, Reece Bedwell; great-niece Renee' S. Brown; and nephew Steve Bedwell; and many other family members. Donna is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law; Brian Lee and Tammy Oliver, Darron Scott Oliver; her four precious grandsons, Joshua Lee, Jeremy Scott, Cameron Scott, and Braydon Michael Oliver. She is also survived by her sister Bee Harris Bedwell; sister-in-law Millie Townsend; brother-in-law, Terry Oliver; and sister-in-law Judy Alls; niece Karen Bedwell Brown and husband Mack Brown; great-niece Jada N. Brown; great-nephew David Bedwell; great-great nieces and nephew, Tatiana, Lilia, Macsen, and Skylar as well as many more nieces, nephews, and special friend Sharon Wall. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Micah's Closet at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2308 Merrimac Road Blacksburg, VA 24060.
