Donna K. Olsen, born on June 23, 1950, in Suffolk County, New York, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in Orange County, North Carolina. She was a beloved figure in her community, known for her dedication and service in both her personal life and career.
Donna spent many fulfilling years as a Bookkeeper for St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, where her meticulous nature and commitment to excellence were highly valued. Her professional accomplishments were complemented by a strong foundation in education, having received her bachelor's degree from Adelphi University.
A devoted family member, Donna cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from caring for her grandson, Ollie, and her daughter, Amy, who reside in Chapel Hill. Family was central to Donna's life, and she took pride in nurturing relationships and creating lasting memories.
Donna was also known for her compassionate spirit and was an active member of Faith Connections on Mental Illness, demonstrating her commitment to supporting others in various aspects of their lives.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Olsen of Chapel Hill; her cherished grandson, Ollie Olsen-Wheeler of Chapel Hill; her brothers, Clyde Kullman of Orlando, FL, and Kevin Kullman of Lakeland, FL; her niece, Julie Cohn of New York; and her nephews, Ron Kullman of Nevada and Jennifer Kullman of Colorado.
Preceding her in death were her devoted husband, Allen W. Olsen; her father, Clyde Alexandr Kullman; and her mother, Bertha Flora Gleste.
Donna K. Olsen will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her contributions to her community, and her compassionate heart. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication that will be cherished by all who knew her.
