Donna M. Powell, 94, passed away on October 18, 2025, in Cedar Rapids at The Keystones Assisted Living Facility. She was born on January 04,1931 in Iowa City, Iowa, to Arthur and Alice (Christensen) Boss. She met her husband, Bill, at the roller-skating rink and they were married for 51 years. Donna worked in food service as a cashier in the cafeteria at Harding Jr. High in Cedar Rapids for over 20 years before retiring in 1994. She was a charter member of Noelridge Park Christian Church, later a member at New Beginnings Church.

Donna loved playing Yahtzee, crocheting, cross stitch, and putting puzzles together. She loved to spend time with her family and never stopped giving of herself to help others. More important than anything was her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior leading many women's prayer groups through coffee fellowship. She always said the greatest legacy she has is that all 4 of her children and their spouses have a strong faith in Jesus. She loved studying the Bible and encouraging others with the truth of the scriptures.

Donna is survived by her children; Steve (Bonnie) Powell of Davenport, IA; Bradley (the late Susan) Powell of Council Bluffs, IA, Vicki (Dan Sheehy) Fisher of Plymouth, MN; and Dr Tracy (Ann) Powell of Edina, MN. She was a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren; dearest great-grandmother to 34 great-grandchildren; and cherished great-great-grandmother to 7 great-great-grandchildren and her surviving 2 siblings; Sue Vaughn of Arlington, TX and Mary Fye of Cedar Rapids.

She is preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Powell who passed away in 1998; her parents; and her sisters Margaret Mefford, Beverly Sickles, Phyllis Walz and her brother Eugene Boss.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. A Memorial service will be held in the same location immediately after visitation. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
