Donna Elaine (Corciullo) Pratesi, 69, of Cromwell, wife of Edward E. Pratesi for twenty-six years, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Peck) Corciullo.
Donna lived in Cromwell all her life, graduating from Cromwell High School Class of 1974. She was one of the first nail technicians in Connecticut opening her shop Perfect Ten in Rocky Hill.
Two of Donna's favorite places to visit were Santa Barbara and Key West. She loved to read, was a good listener who gave great advice and always enjoyed being home. She loved cats and was a foster cat rescuer. Donna will be remembered as a good friend and sister.
Even though this is a great loss, the family finds comfort that Donna will be with her mom, dad and brother.
Along with her husband, Donna is survived by three sisters, Janice LePore of Newington, Sandra Aresco and husband Louie of Old Saybrook and Chrissie Ziegler and her fiancé Bruce of Old Saybrook; nieces and nephews Brandon Havlicek, Kyra Havlicek, Zachary Ziegler, Kaila Ziegler, Alex LePore, Daniella LePore and Michael LePore and two great-nieces, Kylie and Kayliana and a great nephew Zachary. Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brother Joseph W. Corciullo.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. A burial will follow in Cromwell Hillside Cemetery West

Sorry to hear about Donna. A bunch of us use to hang around together during high school and after graduation. We use to walk all over Cromwell. She was funny, kind, warm and had a great laugh. Donna use to give us all haircuts at her parents house. The house was wild with 3 younger sisters running around and of course mom.I wish I could of told her before she passed what a beautiful person she was.

My condolences to Ed and Donna´s sisters. I was friends with Donna years ago. I think we were 16 and 17 years old. She was such a sweetheart. Funny and lovable. I was very saddened to hear this. May you find comfort in knowing she is again with your mom, dad and Joe.

My heart is heavy with the loss of Donna. She was one of my best friends. She was friendly, caring, a loving person and a friend to animals. I loved her. My whole family loved her. She was the kind of person that we need more of in this world. But God chose to take her to be with Him. I´m comforted in knowing I will see her again.

Sandy & sister's, I am so sorry for the loss of Donna. Your brother Joe and I would visit with her at her house quite often. She was such a sweet girl. It's got to be comforting knowing she is with your mom & dad and Joe. Please know I'm thinking of you all and sending my thoughts and prayers.
