Donna Jo Register

Donna Jo Register, age 79, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at University of Missouri Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Donna was born on August 27, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth M. Coleman, Sr. and Margaret "Mary Beth" Coleman (Smith).

She was united in marriage to William Edward Register on November 22, 2002, in Jefferson City, Missouri, who preceded her in death.

Donna was a graduate of Jefferson City High School, Class of 1964. She dedicated 55 years of her career to DeLong's, Inc., where she faithfully served as an Assistant to the Controller until her retirement in 2021.

She was a woman of strong faith and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was involved in Beta Sigma Phi sorority most of her life, serving many roles in her chapter, Preceptor Theta, and Jefferson City's Beta Sigma Phi City Council. Donna was also longtime patron of The Little Theater of Jefferson City.

She found great joy in life's simple pleasures, including attending craft shows and taking day trips. After retirement, she especially cherished her travels with her loved ones, including memorable trips to Switzerland, Hawaii and was especially looking forward to an upcoming cruise to Alaska. Above all, Donna loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them.

Donna never missed an opportunity to spend time with her cherished grandchildren, which included soccer games, motorcross racing and dance competitions. Her grandchildren were the greatest joys of her life.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Kleindienst (John) of Jefferson City and Shane Bowman (Beth) of Jefferson City; sisters, Karen Coleman of Jefferson City and Linda Hickman of Firestone, Colorado; grandchildren, Cole, Grant (Kara), Audrey, Sophia (Carlos), Brandi, Andrew, J.G., Nick, Will, and Wes; her many great grandchildren; and her husband's children who she loved as her own, Mark Register, JoLynn Turley, Shelley Register, and Lisa Kelley.

In addition to her husband and parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Louise Coleman and brother, Kenneth "Ken" Coleman, Jr.

Friends and family will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, with Pastor Lowell Perkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Relay For Life.
