Donna L. Relyea

Donna L. 'Jo' Relyea, 81, of Morrisville, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Crouse Community Center. She was born September 16, 1941, in the Town of Lincoln, a daughter of the late Donald and Beatrice Raynore Weismore and received her education in Canastota Schools. On August 2, 1958, in Peterboro, she was united in marriage to Edward Hammond Relyea, a union of over 58 years until his passing on April 8, 2017. Mrs. Relyea worked as a nurse's aide at the Gerrit Smith Infirmary and at Crouse Community Center until later in her career when she became a physical therapy aide, prior to her retirement. Jo enjoyed and loved making crafts, especially crocheting, knitting and cross stitch. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge, Oneida.Surviving are her children; Suzy Soule of Cazenovia, Sandy and Dennis Rhom of Marion, NC, Stephanie and Scott Pylman of Lebanon, Pete and Millie Relyea of Canastota, Kevin and Gee Relyea of Cold brook, Don and Laura Relyea of Morrisville; 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; sisters Marilyn 'Betsy' Ellis of NC, Marianne 'Susie' Weismore of Morrisville; a brother James Weismore of TN and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband, Edward H. Relyea, Sr.; two sons, Edward H. Relyea, Jr., and Larry Relyea; a son-in-law John Soule, Sr.; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Pylman.Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, NY 13408.
