Donna Marie Riddle

1938 - 2026

Donna Marie Riddle, 87 of Montrose, passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026 at her home.

She was born March 20, 1938, in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Carl Morell and Neleen Belle Bollin Teller. Donna graduated from St. Peters Catholic High School in Keokuk with the class of 1956.

On Nov. 7, 1969, Donna was united in marriage to Victor Frank Riddle in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2018.

Donna had been employed by several local businesses over the years, including St. Joseph Hospital, Dixie Crème Doughnuts and the Gypsy Dell. Donna found her greatest joy in caring for her home and family. A devoted homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting and quilting, and could often be found browsing garage sales and auctions or enjoying a day of shopping. She especially cherished the companionship of her beloved dog.

She is survived by two children, Carl Michael Jackson of Montrose and Patty M. Jackson of Ft. Madison and five grandchildren, Channon D. Daggs, Ryan Daggs, Jeremy L. Harris, Dylan Burke and Carley N. Jackson. She is also survived by one aunt, Clara Bollin and her best friend, Janet Ayers.

In addition to her husband, Victor, Donna was preceded in death by many additional family members and close friends, including her parents, Carl and Neleene Teller, Paula Riddle Burke, Pamela Riddle Daggs, Nicholas Charles Jackson, Tony "Bones" Jackson, Nicole Marie Jackson, Roland and Virginia "Tooty" Riddle, Frank and May Bollin, Cliff and Christina Myers, Leo Bollin, Elizabeth Riddle, Ruth Johnson, Derry and Nancy Sickles, Judy Rankin, Mindy Hagerty and Gwen Kesselring.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Sandusky Cemetery in Sandusky.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
