Lamiell Funeral HomeThe world became a little brighter on April 4, 1946, the day Lynn Auner Riddle was born. For 79 years, she shared that light generously with her family, friends, and the countless students who passed through her classroom. Her kindness, patience, and quiet strength shaped every space she entered, and her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
She leaves behind daughters, Barbara Riddle and Debbie Jean Yacklin; son, Scott (RaChelle) Riddle; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha (Norman) Casselman and Nancy Auner; and cherished former daughter-in-law, Jody Riddle. She was the heart of her family, and her love was unwavering. Lynn is now reunited with her husband, Mark; her parents, George and Eileen; her beloved grandchild, Mark Riddle; and her precious great grandchild, Lilly Riddle, whose memories she carried close to her heart.
Lynn lived a life of service, compassion, and purpose. She dedicated many years to teaching in the Canton City Schools, where she worked with hearing impaired students and advocated fiercely for their education and inclusion. Her commitment to helping others extended far beyond the classroom. She was an active member of Quota Club International, Koinonia of Lake County, and Kairos Prison Ministry, offering encouragement, faith, and hope wherever she served.
She was also a woman of creativity and curiosity. An avid sewer and knitter, Lynn found joy in crafting pieces filled with care. She loved the theater, embraced new experiences, and had a deep passion for travel. Some of her happiest moments were spent exploring new places with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, teaching them about the world, sharing stories, and creating memories through the many adventures they took together. Those trips became treasured traditions, and the lessons she passed on will continue to guide them throughout their lives.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on March 14th at 11:30 AM, with fellowship to follow, at FBC – Full Devotion, 4110 38th St. NW, Canton, Ohio 44718.
