Stephanie Carpenter Obituary

Visit the Schneeberger-Oser Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.
Stephanie Carpenter passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished. Stephanie will be remembered for her generous heart, her joyful spirit, and the countless lives she touched through her care, friendship, and love.

Stephanie was the beloved wife of Mike Carpenter, with whom she shared a life filled with companionship, laughter, and deep commitment. She was a loving daughter to her mother, Mary Metz (Skolosh), and a devoted sister to Jim Metz, Tom Metz (Julie), Tricia Hutton (Dennis), Shawn Metz, and Seth Metz (Carol). Stephanie also embraced her role as a cherished stepmother to her bonus daughters, Rachel and Michelle, and she took great pride in being part of the lives of their children and grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Metz; her paternal grandparents, George and Minerva Metz; her maternal grandparents, Stephen and Mary Skolosh; and her father- and mother-in-law, Walt and Pat Carpenter.

Stephanie found joy in life's simple pleasures and the company of those she loved most. She had a special talent for crocheting, creating beautiful handmade pieces that were often gifted to family and friends as tokens of her affection. She also treasured the time spent with her card club playing canasta, where laughter and friendship were always part of the game. Above all, Stephanie loved being surrounded by family and friends, and she devoted much of her time to caring for and babysitting many children, who affectionately came to see her as a second mom. Her nurturing spirit and gentle guidance left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Stephanie's life was defined by compassion, generosity, and an open heart. Whether through a warm conversation, a helping hand, or simply being present when someone needed her, she made people feel valued and loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and the many friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Friends may call on the family Tuesday, March 10, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Schneeberger-Oser Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.

Stephanie will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she shared and the kindness she gave so freely.
