Donna Ridgeway Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Klein Funeral Home - CyFair - Northwest on Jun. 30, 2024.
Donna Lee was born on June 13, 1940, to Frances Norene Zink and Donald Harry Crouse in Galesburg, Illinois.
Donna Lee went home to God on June 21, 2024.
Survivors include one sister, Bonnie Crouse; and her children, Michael Wayne Ridgeway and wife Cathy, David Lamar Ridgeway and wife Linda Werber Ridgeway, Cheryl Lynn Ridgeway, Zachary Ridgeway and wife Tabatha, and Amy LaDonna Ridgeway and husband Vince.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Norene Zink; and her father, Dr. James L. Zink, who raised her. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Dawn Ridgeway; and sister, Anna Rose Brison.
Donna loved her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren endlessly. Her role in life was to always be the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Donna always had a smile to give away and a kind word to cheer people up. She never met a stranger and if you had the joy of meeting her you left with a smile and some encouraging words.
Always wanting to better herself was always a goal she had. Her first employment was with Dixie Chemical. She was employed with them for over 18 years. Her mentor was Herb Brown and with his mentorship he was able to lead her into serving as Corporate Credit Manager. One of her very proud achievements was to have become a member of the National Credit Managers Association.
One of her joys in life was learning God's Word. Every Sunday morning was something she always looked forward to. Pastor Dr. Charles Stanley was one of her favorite preachers. She always said she learned so much from his sermons.
She also loved feeding her birds and enjoying being outdoors. She always took advantage of those beautiful sunny mornings to enjoy God's creation.
