Donna Lynn Robertson, 74, of New Lenox, Illinois, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025. Born on June 13, 1950, in Blue Island, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of Harriet and the late Wayne DeYoung. Donna lived a life filled with love and devotion, notably as a beloved daycare teacher who touched the hearts of many children and families.
A devoted wife, Donna was married to the late John “Lindsay” Robertson for an extraordinary 55 years. [He preceded her in death just this past Christmas Eve 2024.] Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she took immense pride in her role as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Donna is survived by her loving children, Laura (Jay) Curatolo, John (Melissa) Robertson, and Michael (Mary) Robertson. She was a proud grandmother to Lucas (Katie) Robertson, Josh (Caryn) Robertson, Rachel Robertson, Evan Curatolo, Colin Curatolo, Raina Curatolo, Grace Robertson, Mattea Robertson, and Nate Robertson. She also delighted in her role as a great-grandmother to Wyatt Robertson and Scottie Robertson.
In addition to her immediate family, Donna is survived by her dear siblings, Larry (the late Phyllis) DeYoung, Dan (Cindy) DeYoung, and Dave (Martha) DeYoung. She will be remembered fondly as a caring sister and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Donna Lynn Robertson's love for her family and friends enriched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A memorial gathering and funeral service are scheduled to honor her legacy on Saturday April 12, 2025, at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, located at 102 Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL. The memorial gathering will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the funeral service beginning promptly at 11:00 AM. All those who loved her are welcomed to gather to celebrate her, in the hopes that they may carry with them the warmth and kindness that Donna imparted to them in this life.
