Donna Rose Obituary

Donna Zee Rose, 86, of Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, December 29, 2025. Born February 27, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Warren and Faye Conklin. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late Charles Rose; loving mother of Sharon McCracken (Michael) and Kevin Rose (Laurie). She was also the cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Gene Conklin; and sister, Carol Lynne Stephenson. On November 26, 1955, Donna married the love of her life, Charles Rose. Together they shared many happy years of marriage, and enjoyed camping and traveling together. Donna enjoyed baking, sewing and watching the birds. She was employed by GC Murphy Co. and by Trinity School Cafeteria. She was a devoted member of Avery United Methodist Church as well as the United Methodist Women. Donna leaves behind family and friends who will forever treasure her warmth, gentle spirit and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in North Franklin Fire Hall, 565 Sylvan Drive, Washington, PA 15301.
