Donna Mae Schmieg
Donna Mae Schmieg, 85, of Blue Bell, PA passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa on October 8, 1940, the daughter of the late Edward and the late Thelma (Boswell) Schmieg.
She had moved all over with her parents because her father served in the US Navy.
She graduated from Erskine College of Due West, South Carolina.
Donna loved animals especially her cats and horses. She enjoyed a lifetime friendship with Jay Woznicki and family.
She worked as an Elementary School Teacher with North Penn School District.
She is survived by her friends including Jay & Cheryl Woznicki who she lived with in Worcester, Pa.
Her Memorial Service & Interment will be private at a later date.
Memorial Contributio ns may be made in h er memory to: Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike PO Box 222, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Auntie, I will always keep a special place in my heart for you. Grandmom loved you dearly and I know you loved her like a mother. Over my childhood, you brought lightness and fun to our home on holidays. I´ll always be thankful for you teaching us how to ride horses and thankful that your big cat heart took in my not-so-little Hamlet and loved him like the rest of your cats. You were a good caring person and I hope you are now at peace. Love, Debbie

Michelle, Debbie & I will all miss you dearly! I'm so glad you were part of our family. Wish we could have had more time together besides holidays, but you were so busy with teaching & your horses. You had a great group of friends & co-workers. I'm happy mom named me after you. Glad you got to experience a lot of "life". I posted some pixs of over the years. Love, Donna Lee
