Donna Jane Smith

Donna Jane Smith, age 90, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026. She was born on April 24, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Francis and Edna Maguire Kiefer.

Donna was a devoted homemaker and a longtime, faithful member of St. Paul Church in Florence. Her life was centered around her family and her faith, both of which she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than 70 years, Dana Smith; her five beloved children, Kathy Fricke (Joe), Jenny White (Jim), Jim Smith (Bernice), John Smith (Tricia), and Jane Banta (Greg); her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brothers, Robert Kiefer and Jim Kiefer (Peggy); close nieces, Nancy McIntire and Sally Landes along with her husband, Bill; and her dear friend, Patti Kinman.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring Donna's life will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Paul Church in Florence.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donna's memory to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, Kentucky 41017.
