Michael Wayne King

Michael Wayne King, age 65, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 26, 2026. A resident of Liberty Township, Ohio, Mike dedicated nearly 43 years to a career at Messer Construction, beginning as a college intern and retiring as Regional Safety Manager for the Dayton area.

In retirement, Mike embraced the simple joys of life. He could often be found swimming in his pool, enjoying time on the golf course, or-most of all-spending cherished moments playing with his grandchildren.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Phyllis (Carlisle) King, and his beloved wife, Trena Sou (Harmon) King. He is survived by his loving children, Austin King (Sarah), Jesse King (Courtney), and Tara King-Bryant (Samuel); his treasured grandchildren, Lincoln, Adelynn, Finley, Genevieve, Vivienne, Parker, Cohen, and Eleanor; and his brother, Gregory King (Donna).

There will be no public funeral service. A private burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman, Indiana.
