Donna Smith Obituary
Donna K. Smith, 69, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Se was surrounded by family.
She was known for her zest for life. Some of her hobbies included fishing, boating, cooking, and riding motorcycles. She loved to crotchet. Donna rescued many pets and cherished them all. She was an amazing caregiver and loved to look after her grandchildren. Donna enjoyed spending her time with friends and family alike.
Donna was born on September 1, 1956, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Alfred Zaccaagni and Nancy Searcy. She married Ronald W. Smith in Edwardsville, on August 15, 1995.
Along with her husband, Ronald, she is survived by her children, Christy Brackman of Dorsey, and Amy (Dan) Clare of Foster, KY; stepchildren, Sonya (Clyde) Preston, Rachel Mayberry-Roseman, and Ben Smith; grandchildren, Grant and Adeline; step-grandchildren, Amber, Dennis, Dominic, Josh, Skye, Landyn, Ryver, Galaxy, Paige, and Benjamin; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Michael and Paul Scott.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
