Donna Standish (Sweet Grass Woman), Maacuaca Mia, was born April 24, 1954, with her twin sister Doris, daughter of Leo Standish Sr. and Joyce (Bearstail)Standish.
In her younger years, she attended school in Grafton and Richardton, ND. Upon returning, she moved to Mandaree with her family. In her life she enjoyed traveling, attending pow-wows, dancing women's traditional, singing songs, going to church, gambling, traveling with her son, her sisters, and family.
Her favorite past times were arts and crafts, making tie blankets, beading and coloring. Donna loved all her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She made friends with everyone whom she came into contact with.
She had such a great memory, a smile on her face, and made friends wherever she went. Donna lived her life to the fullest.
Donna is survived by her one and only son, Roger (Lou) Standish of Mandaree, sister Lois Hale of Bismarck, Grandchildren Tateona, Shailee, Shakoya, Felix, Hayden, and Serenity, her great grandbabies and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Joyce Standish, brothers and sisters.
