Donna Lea Stanke, age 78, of Dorchester, WI entered her heavenly home Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Reverend James Groleau will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

The daughter of Robert and Betty (Dawson) Venzke, Donna was born July 3, 1947 in Marshfield, WI. Donna graduated from Medford High School and then attended Medford Technical College where she completed the teaching program. Donna devoted herself to teaching and taught at several local schools.

Donna was united in marriage to David Stanke on August 10, 1968 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Dorchester, WI. They were blessed with three children, Dawn, Robert and David Jr.

Donna had a deep love for feeding birds in her yard; she took pride in each new species she was able to attract. She a warm, helpful and welcoming spirit. Donna was very dedicated to caring for her family, especially her husband, and was always proud of the children and grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband David; three children: Dawn (Walter) Fredrickson, Robert Stanke, and David Jr. (Holly) Standke; eight grandchildren: Ruby and Lily Fredrickson, Gabe, Michael Standke, Braxton Stanke and Emily, Luke and Jackson Standke. She is further survived by a sister: Darlene (Ralph) Berry.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
