Donna Joanne Stroud, age 65, of Centerville, Texas, passed away peacefully July 21, 2024 in Granbury, Texas. She was born November 25, 1958 in Nacogdoches, Texas to George Hazle & Mary Jane (Williams) Grant. 

Donna earned her bachelors degree in Early Education from the University of Texas at Tyler, later earning additional credits to teach ESL classes. She worked as a public school teacher for a number of years, teaching remedial classes for grades three through five and third grade ESL.  Donna retired after eleven years of teaching, giving her the precious opportunity to travel with her husband and spend more time with her grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her father and beloved husband, Donald Stroud. Surviving family members include mother, Mary Jane Grant of Crockett, Texas; daughter, Michelle Gray of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Gray of Granbury, Texas, MaKayla Barnes and husband, Ronnie of Cottondale, Texas, and Skylar House of Austin, Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Little Ronnie, Malachi, Ellison, Judah, and Henry Barnes of Cottondale, Texas.

A service honoring Donna's extraordinary life will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Pastor Rosemary Matthews will officiate the service. A private interment will follow. 

Final arrangements are under the care and guidance of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
