Funeral service for Donna Thompson, age 68 of Ridgeway, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro. David Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Peerless Cemetery with Roger Thompson II, Roger Thompson III, Austin Thompson, Elijah Thompson, Ethan Thompson, and Ranger Thompson serving as pallbearers. Ryder Thompson and Wyatt Thompson will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Thompson passed away on February 5, 2026 at her residence.
Donna was born on May 22, 1957 in Grapevine, Texas to Bert and Ruth (Hoskinson) Edgington. She married Roger D. Thompson Sr. on May 29, 1975 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Donna graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1975 and acquired her Antiques Appraiser License from Ashford Antique College. She worked as an antique appraiser and as a clerk for Sweeties Donut Shop in Commerce for over 25 years. Donna was a member of the Davis St. Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Roger Thompson II and wife, Kacie; grandchildren, Roger Dean Thompson III “Trey” and wife, Cristina, Tristan William Follis and wife, Allison, Austin Stanley Thompson, Elijah Derrick Thompson, Brooklyn Pearl Thompson, Ethan Leewright Thompson, Ranger Wyatt Thompson, and Emma Jenae Thompson; great grandchildren, Roseanna Thompson, Ryder Dean Thompson, Wyatt Andrew Thompson, and Porter William Ray Follis; sister, Becky Shockey.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roger Thompson Sr., son, Scotty Thompson, and three brothers.
