Donna Jean (Yoder) Fibikar was born on January 16 1953 to Grover “Shorty” and Opal (Patterson) Yoder in Webster City Iowa. She grew up in Woolstock. Donna attended school in Woolstock before graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1971. Donna married Roy “Gypsy” Fibikar in 1975. To this union, three children were born. The couple later divorced. Donna made Clarion her home where she was “Mom” to her kids’ friends, every neighbor was family. Where everyone who enjoyed her pizzas felt a mother’s love through their orders and the care that was put into it. Donna worked several jobs over the years. The most recent being Casey’s General Store. Donna was “the best” pizza maker for 27 years before retiring in 2020. During retirement Donna had been enjoying traveling with her sister Shelia. She also loved being able to relax and spend time with her many grand and great grand kids.
Donna was an avid reader all her life with romance books being her favorite. She also enjoyed needlepoint, latch hooking and she loved to bake. No matter if it was a Casey’s pizza or goodies she made in her own kitchen, Donna put love into each item she made and you could tell. During the holidays Donna would hand out goodie boxes to friends. She would also take samples to work for the customers. Donna has helped many friends and family over the years with various animal related chores.
Donna’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends. She felt very blessed by the amazing show of support since her diagnosis. Whether it was a heartfelt moment at her final farewell, a phone call or a visit, Donna was humbled by the impact she had made. Her greatest accomplishment in life was love. Love for her family, her friends and for anyone that was lucky enough to have known her.
Donna is survived by her children, Shane (Chris) Fibikar - Duncombe, Dawn (Mark) Heiden - Eagle Grove, Marda (Gary) Lalor - Eagle Grove, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with one on the way, sister Shelia LaRue - Eagle Grove and children Traci, Niki and Scott, aunt Terry (Mike) Baker - Humboldt, long time friend Randy Stoen - Dows, and many cousins.
