Donnell Buckner

Donnell Buckner, 68, of Columbus, GA passed Monday, December 29, 2025, in Columbus. Born to the late Joe Parris and Christine Porter, he served his country with pride as a U.S. Navy veteran and later built a meaningful life as a self employed carpenter. A faithful member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church in Cusseta, GA, he found peace in the woods while deer hunting and took deep pride in the work he could do with his hands.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Lee (Geraldine) Porter, II.

His survivors include: one son, Adrian Buckner; two daughters, Felicia (Jacobi) Robinson and Brittney Buckner; three brothers, Stanley (Ann) Porter, Schuyler (Gloria) Porter, and Claude Parris; a stepmother, Geraldine Parris; a stepdaughter, J'iara Jackson, four grandchildren, Myaira, Daniel, JR, Jacobi, JR, and Aurora and a host of relatives.
